Rare Ishime Hanmaru Ken Same Do 60-piece Bamboo Do with Sangaimatsu Kikko Decoration - Excellent Condition

Purchased approximately 25 years ago.

The tiger eye pattern is translucent. It's not as perfectly round as Maru Ken, but the grain isn't as crushed as typical Ishime.
I was told it's Hanmaru Ken.
Most modern tiger eye patterns are emphasized with paint, but this one is finished to highlight the natural texture of the raw hide.

As you can see in the photos, it's not overly done, and I believe the combination of rare raw hide and the overall craftsmanship is exceptional for today.

Used only twice in actual practice.
Both times were only for observation, with a maximum of 30 minutes of use. I recall being struck perhaps once, if at all.
The surface of the do is in excellent condition, almost without any scratches.

Furthermore, to maintain its appearance since purchase, the surface has been lacquered and polished twice. Therefore, you don't need to worry about the lacquer shrinking or any similar issues.
The chest plate features a Sangaimatsu Kikko decoration in crimson x black.

Considering the price, even if you were to utilize the do body and replace the chest plate or reapply family crests, which would involve considerable time and expense, this is still a very good value.
