Nakade Rokutaro - With Bear Claw - High-Quality Spruce Solid Top & High-Quality Rosewood Solid Back and Sides
Nakade Rokutaro
1964 A3
Mr. Rokutaro Nakade was the younger brother of Hanso Nakade, one of the most accomplished figures in Japanese classical guitar making, and was himself an excellent luthier.
The guitar being offered is an A3 model from a time when the A2 model was the mainstream.
(Model numbers gradually increased from the mid-1960s.)
The materials used are equivalent to those of high-end models: the top is high-quality solid spruce with bear claw, the back and sides are high-quality solid rosewood with high density, and the fingerboard is ebony.
The exterior is not in pristine condition, with repairs to a crack in the top (photo 14) and repairs to paint peeling from the removal of the golpeador (photo 15).
However, for those who feel that the exterior is perfectly acceptable at this level, this guitar will be attractive due to its lower cost.
The action is set slightly high, but both playability and resonance are good.
For those looking for a simple yet high-quality classical guitar made by Rokutaro Nakade,
please consider this Rokutaro Nakade 1964 A3.
