This is a plastic model of the 999 from Galaxy Express 999.
This is a rare kit, believed to be an early edition from the late 1970s to early 1980s, manufactured by Bandai, No. 999.
Furthermore, the instruction manual includes Shimizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture and an old-style phone number, confirming it is a product from the Showa era. This is a hard-to-find collector's item today.
The model recreates the 999, based on the black-bodied C62 type locomotive, and the packaging featuring Maetel and Tetsuro strongly retains the atmosphere of that era. The box art is highly popular and recommended for display purposes.
