Early Maturing Brown Edamame - Echigo Honey Seeds - 7 seeds
Open-pollinated variety (domestic seed, untreated)
● Features
Developed through repeated improvements based on superior strains of Dadacha Mame from Shonai, Yamagata, and Niigata, these brown edamame boast the best sweetness and aroma. The plants grow to about 60-65cm, making them an excellent variety that is very easy for beginners to grow.
● Cultivation Guide
Sowing: Early May to mid-June (Harvest: Early August to early September)
Note: Seeds are prone to rot if the soil temperature is low, so it's safer to sow after May when the ground has warmed up sufficiently.
As Soybeans: If you don't harvest them as edamame and let them mature until autumn, you can use them as soybeans for homemade miso, soy sauce, simmered beans, tofu, and more.
?Tips for successfully saving seeds (self-pollination) ?
Due to the high temperatures and humidity in summer, it can be a bit difficult to harvest beautiful soybeans. Therefore, if you plan to [save seeds for the next generation], it's best to avoid the summer and [sow seeds in mid to late July, harvesting mature soybeans in the cooler months of October-November]. This will make it easier to obtain well-developed, good quality seeds (quoted from Noguchi Seed Company).
Since these are open-pollinated seeds, you can save seeds. Why not try growing them from your own saved seeds in the following years? ? Let's enjoy nature together! ?
Carrying the resonance of pleasant sounds ?:*
Before shipping, I gently expose the seeds to the vibrations of a tuning fork that plays frequencies of love and harmony (such as 528Hz and 888Hz), hoping they will grow strong and healthy in your hands. I send them out with all my heart, carried by pleasant vibrations.
