Description
Vintage Steiff tabby kitten named Tapsy was made in Germany 1950s. It has glass eyes with mohair & velvet ears and a light pink embroidered nose. It is made of hand brushed gray and cream mohair, firmly stuffed with wood wool, It is smallest made version; it measures 3 ¼ inches front paw to ears. 5.5” nose to tail. On the left felt ear you can still see the slits where the original Steiff silver button once sat. Kitten no longer has the original bell and silk bow. Nevertheless, this vintage kitten is a highly collectible Steiff toy, and on some sites listed for as much as $230 is similar condition. My interest is to find it a good home. Reasonable offers considered.
